Through the CWB CSA W47.1 certification, we seek to monitor and optimize the quality standards of welding work, in addition to ensuring the conformity of technical designs, customer specifications, and companies in general, ensuring a high level of quality in the final product and compliance with the corresponding safety measures.

The Canadian Standards Association sets different criteria for CSA W47.1 certification. Depending on the type of work to be performed, a company can obtain steel fusion welding certification in any of its three divisions:

Division 1: In this case, the company must employ a full-time registered professional engineer responsible for the welding-related activities specified by the company.

Division 2: In this case, the company must employ a part-time registered professional engineer responsible for the welding-related activities specified by the company.

Division 3: In this case, the company is not required to have a registered professional engineer, either employed or contracted.
